Product notes

Ground green aniseed is a spice obtained by grinding green aniseed seeds. Its fine powder gives off a sweet, fresh and intensely aromatic fragrance, characterised by aniseed notes reminiscent of liquorice, fennel and a slight hint of sweetness.

Highly prized in baking, it delicately flavours biscuits, gingerbread, brioche, cakes and confectionery. In savoury cooking, it also complements certain fish dishes, vegetables, sauces and marinades. It is also used to flavour herbal teas, liqueurs and traditional drinks.

Ground green aniseed is renowned for its warm flavour and powerful aroma: just a small amount is enough to add a fragrant and refined note to your dishes. To preserve its freshness and aromas, it is advisable to store it in an airtight container, away from light and moisture.
